Kenmore students celebrated achieving their STEAM certificate with a trip to iFly indoor skydiving.
STEAM at Kenmore stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Students may participate in a variety of STEAM classes while attending Kenmore. While all students are required to take a math and a science class each year, there are a variety of technology, art and engineering classes offered through the elective program. Additionally, students may earn a STEAM certificate at the completion of their 8th grade year and may begin working on the certificate as a 6th or 7th grader. Students earn a STEAM Certificate by meeting certain requirements at each grade level. These requirements range from participating in the science fair annually, earning good grades, and participating in a variety of extra-curricula activities related to STEAM.
