Kenmore Cougar News

The Kenmore Cougar News is run through EXCEL.  Students on each grade level team have an opportunity to apply to help present and produce the Kenmore Cougar News programs and the Principal’s Forum which are presented during EXCEL time on Fridays.  Students rotate through a variety of jobs including camera, video control, announcer, director, teleprompter, computer and sound.  10-12 students are selected to participate in this program for a 6 week period during the school year.  Students who have been selected meet daily during the 6 weeks  to participate.  Most of the stories produced for the news are produced by students enrolled in multimedia or journalism.  However students participating in the EXCEL program do have some exposure to producing their own stories by planning, filming and editing their projects using i-movie.
